Courtney “the D-man” Tuttle is getting a reputation for his rapidly growing D-List, a long, long list of blogs that do follow. What this means is that when you comment on any of these sites, including Nice4Rice, your name will not only link to your site, but allow Google and other search engines to “follow” the link, passing PageRank and helping your site get indexed. Commenting on other people’s blogs, is a quick and easy way to give your own site some exposure, and Court’s list removes the need to search out these generous “DoFollow” blogs.
Of course, such a list alone doesn’t make great reading material, so Spud Oregon went in search of other gems from the information-rich, and appropriately titled blog, Make Money Online Free with Court.
Court used to have a day job working as a consultant for an Internet marketing firm. During his stint as a “salary man”, he started building websites which grew large enough for him to quit the office and work for himself, from the comfort of home. In other words, he joined that much-envied group of self-made internet entrepreneurs, which so many people only dream of doing.
In February this year, Court launched his blog and has been working at it consistently since. He writes about motivation and overcoming fear, as well as blog development, promotion and monetization. There’s also a category for beginners which includes the monstrous 5,263 Words On Starting a Profitable Blog.
Court has written an excellent three-part series on learning from your statistics, in which he shows you what you should be looking for and how you can improve your site’s performance. His article, Masterful Monetization Tutorial for Future Pro Bloggers is also a good read, outlining which advertising programs and pay-to-review services you should sign up for, during each phase of your blog’s first year. He also recently pleased a lot of people by showing them how to run sponsored reviews and Kontera ads at the same time without breaking any terms of service.
Other pages on the site include a list of useful tools that Court uses everyday, including Technorati Tag Generator and Google Suggest, and what Wordpress plugins he’s using, so if you’ve just set up your own blog, go and see what you might have missed.
Now you can’t really go writing about making money online unless you’re actually making some yourself. We already know that Court has other web ventures that pay his bills, and probably a whole lot more, but how about his blog? Well, Court has disclosed his income and revenue streams so you can see what works for him, and recently he gleefully announced that he earned $715.85 in May. He also added…
If you can guess within $1 of what I earn in June, I will give you all of my earnings for the month! I will PayPal the money to you the first day of July. If you can’t get PayPal, we’ll figure something out! I fully plan on giving it to someone.
Yep! Court is giving away his blog earnings! I’m going to pass on making a guess since this is a review, not a contest entry, but that shouldn’t stop you. Read the rules on his post, Make Money Online By Taking My Paycheck. It’s got to be worth a shot, right?
If you haven’t already been over to CourtneyTuttle.com, now is the time to start. He’s waiting for you, and had this to say:
I truly want this site to be a help to everyone… I would love to hear what each of my readers have to say. Please comment! Leave me your thoughts so that I can better understand your needs.
If you’re not going to leave you thoughts, then at least leave Court a bowl of rice!

As to be expected with the great Spud, another worthwile read.
He’s giving out his earnings? Such a gimmick would surely attract visitors. LOL.
Good review - this is one of the blogs I visit pretty much daily!

Oops, I always thought Courtney was a girl! This is a great blog that jumped right in and got a lot of attention fast. I like the content here, and I’m looking forward to the Saturday case study posts!
Well-written.
I joined the Do Follow movement a few months ago. Share the link love, that’s what I say.
The DoFollow community is one cool group! And a lot of good sites too! And I kid you not!
