I wanted to make a joke about the characters Zack and Screech from the 1989 TV show “Saved by the Bell”, and how Dustin Diamond, who played Screech, now seems to be facing foreclosure. However, Diamond’s failure to build on high school success is quite the opposite of Zac Johnson, super affiliate.
Johnson was making money at an early age, selling trading cards and soda to his classmates, and by the time he was in high school, he had learned all about Internet marketing, setting up entertainment sites and affiliate programs that would see him pay out over $1,000,000 in affiliate commissions. Over the next ten years, Zac continued to grow his marketing empire, and now, with his entry into the blogging world, we can finally see “inside the secret life of a super affiliate.”
Obviously, the bulk of the site is dedicated to affiliate programs, but what gives ZacJohnson.com that sparkle is that he talks about those that have worked for him, and even shows proof that the programs are real money earners. He brings a few new names to the table which I hadn’t heard of before, for example Affiliate Fuel, which has put thousands of dollars in his pocket in the few years he has been with them. His experiment with NeverBlueAds is also something worth looking deeper into.
It’s also worth checking out Zac’s posts on bad companies, which I’m sure he will add to when either himself or his readers get burned online. Zac never got paid $20,000 owed to him by the now defunct WebmasterSweeps.com, and is currently owed $5,000 from mStyle.com, who look unlikely to pay.
It’s not all about making, or even losing money. This super affiliate turned super hero, donning a Spiderman costume and entertaining the kids at a local event. He also writes about his girlfriend Reena, and Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats! Take a look at his Photo Gallery for pictures of his better half, his new Hummer, and publicity in Revenue Magazine.
Zac has recently been publicizing his blog with ReviewMe and PayPerPost, sometimes forking out hundreds of dollars a time. Some of them have been excellent, while others have been shameful. This one goes out for free, but I will throw in the words affiliate marketing and make money to at least make it eligible for a free backlink and a chance to win fifty bucks. What a shame it’s not that free 42″ Sony Plasma TV!
While I’m writing this, I’d like to point Zac and anyone else suffering from IE Stack Overflow errors to the fix I posted back in April. Hopefully, he can use it so the handful of us that see the errors will be able to view individual posts without getting that evil message!
I’ll leave you with words from the super affiliate himself, and let’s give him some rice, please!
Through ZacJohnson.com I would like to share a lot of my past experiences, some ideas on how to make more money on the web, a little about myself and meet some great new people. I look forward to hearing from all my new readers!
