Earlier this month, Nice4Rice suffered a serious spam attack. Bob of Bobbarama.com, a “Professional Chief Cat Herder” from Southern California, took it upon himself to spam this blog with 13 bowls of rice in one sitting. You could argue that this was an incredible act of generosity, but I still felt the need to track down him down and file a complaint!
Sucked in by the briefs versus boxers debate, I found myself glued to one of the funniest blogs I’ve read in a long time. Bobbarama, home of the cheeky black smiley face, covers topics such the rising gas prices, what search terms people use to land on his site, and why men don’t dance. It’s not only dancing either, Bob listed ten things women don’t know about guys, and I just had to borrow this image from that post:
There is also room for Bob’s freaky cat Grizabella, a fast-food junkie that likes stalking herself in the bathroom mirror. I’m not much of a cat lover, actually I’m allergic to them, but Bob’s readers think the incredible, indelible Griz is adorable!
To get the most out of Bobbarama, you have to learn the lingo. Bob likes to mangle words and definitions so he can actually say what he really means. Here are some examples from the ”Dictiowary“:
- Abnominal muscles: The flabby, untoned midsection of someone who does not work out regularly.
- Asspirin: Relieves headaches caused by all the idiots in your life.
- Handicrapped: That sudden sense of helplessness when you realize too late you’re out of toilet paper.
When Bob started Bobbarama, he gave the following as one of his reasons:
I blog because I don’t like talking to myself. I mean, really, if I’m going to say something, there might as well be someone around to hear it. Know what I mean? … … Hello? … Hello?!
Now that he has close to 500 blogs linking to his site and often gets tons of comments on each of his posts, I think you can safely say we’re listening.
Although I’m sure Bob would prefer a frozen strawberry margarita in a plastic beer cup (minus the frilly umbrella), all I have to offer is a few bowls of rice. The question is though, will Bobbarama get back all the rice he spammed my blog with? I’ll let my Nice4Rice readers decide!

What a great review of a great site! I have been a loyal reader over at Bobbarama for quite some time now and all I can say is that it just keeps getting better and better and better.
Of course, as the winner of over 3 pounds of personalized M&Ms for being the 500th commenter on Bob’s page it’s only proper for me to say only wonderful things about one of the funniest blogs out there! But, even if I hadn’t won, I’d say the same thing. The guy is funny - beyond funny!

Now, Bob of bobbarama is the Bob of all Bobs! The most famous of all the Bobs ever! (Even Bob Barker :)) Got to know his blog tru a fellow blogger who made a very very nice comment in my site! And if you can find it, you will be surprised! Because I was flattered! Flattered to be called “Are you the Filipino Bobbarama? Or is Bobbarama the American AnitoKid?” And boy oh boy!
