Before I could even review his site, Saman Sadeghi had found his way over here and put his name on the Nice4Rice Top Commentators list. That shouldn’t come as a surprise considering his name is synonymous with comment spam. Besides competing with Lyndon Maxewell and Jez for John Chow’s prized top commentator award, Samanathon does however find time to work on his own blog.
With around 200 articles in the few short months it’s been online, it’s hard to know where to begin. I opted for Saman’s Tips and Tricks category to see what goodies I could find, and it was an interesting experience…
The first little hack I thought would be fun was to create a Windows shortcut so you could log off with a double-click instead of opening the Start menu. I mean, really, who wouldn’t want to save a few tenths of a second? While Saman’s instructions are quite straightforward, if you get stuck at the “Create a batch file” stage, you’ll run into problems because the link to “How to create batch files” results in a “Whoops! That page isn’t here!” message. Not to worry, if he can fix it as quickly as he comments, it’ll be done by now. Update: Now fixed!
Moving on, Samanathon posts about sorting comments in Wordpress blogs. These are the kind of articles I love. A few simple cut and paste code snippets and you’re away! I don’t think I’ll have a need for this particular hack, but what is worthless to one person could be gold to another.

Sorry! I just got sidetracked by a video of a Japanese game show, the episode where a bunch of guys are sitting in a library playing games where the loser has to do a forfeit. I really hope Saman posts more of these, as I have tears streaming down my face from laughing so much! Just watch the guy getting his arse spanked by a baseball bat and trying to stay quiet! Thank you Samanathon!
There is really just too much to look at for me to do Samanathon.com any justice. Hop on over, click on one of the 50 categories in the heat map, and you’re sure to find something you like. And when you do, don’t forget to come back here and give the guy some rice!
